Bathroom Drawers

If you have drawers in your bathroom, you know that they can get cluttered and messy. Take a little time today to tidy them up!

Step 1:  Take everything out and group the items into categories (such as Hair Items, Tooth Care, Washcloths/Towels, Cosmetics, etc.

Step 2: Toss out any old or unnecessary items.  Only keep items you will use!  There’s no need to store stuff that you don’t need.  Having less items will help you keep your drawers uncluttered!  Let's Get Organized Logo

Step 3: Wipe down the drawers.  If possible, line your drawers with drawer lining paper or non-skid padding.

Step 4: Organize the items into sections.  There are drawer organizers with sections for putting various items available at many stores (such as Target, Wal Mart, Home Improvement Stores, Dollar Stores, and more).  These can be helpful to keep items from getting all jumbled together.  For example, you could get one with several sections which could hold items such as:

toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss together

hairbrush, gel, hairspray and barrettes together

facial wash, makeup remover and moisturizer

Each family’s items and needs are different, but those are a few examples.  Even if you don’t get an organizer for the drawers, you can still keep items separated into various drawers or sections of drawers.  I often use small baskets inside of drawers to keep certain items together.  When organizing your items, put things that are used along with similar items together.  That will help you know where things are and will make getting ready faster with less looking around.  It will also help you with your shopping since you will be able to open a drawer and easily see if any items in the various sections are running low.

Show your family the newly organized drawers so they will know where to find things and how to put items back into the right place!
