The Silverware Drawer
The silverware drawer is a very used drawer of the house.
We probably reach into ours about a dozen times a day or more!
With so much use, it can often become disorganized.
Take a few minutes today to make sure yours is nice and tidy.
Step 1 –
Empty drawer. If you have a
utensil organizer, take it out and wipe it down.
(If you don’t have one, or it’s time to update – go ahead and buy
a new one; they are inexpensive
and can make your drawer a nice happy
place! I got a cute wooden
one at Target).
Step 2 –
Place
the utensils back into the sections.
Step 3 – If there are other items kept in this drawer, sort them and put them back in a neat manner. For example, we keep straws in the drawer. I wrap a clean rubber band around them to keep them from sliding all over. We also tend to end up with plastic utensils leftover from various parties. I sorted them and put them in the back part of the drawer. Make sure to toss anything that you don’t need, or put stray items into other drawers better suited for them.
Pat yourself on the back for getting this organizing project done!
